Why other chickens are not REAL...

POLLO REAL CHICKEN vs. Natural & Free Range

Pollo Real’s environmentally sound model provides many advantages over traditional commercial poultry operations, including so-called "free-range" and "natural" chickens that are raised in huge factory farm operations.

  1. Pollo Real chickens are raised in small portable pens without bottoms that are moved daily on fresh planted millet, oats, wheat, chicory and brassicas and supplemented with wholesome grains.

  2.   Natural and free range meat growers use conventional animal feed that may contain pesticides, toxins, antibiotics or growth enhancers.

  1. Pollo Real chickens are not debeaked allowing them to forage easily.

  2.   Free-range birds are commonly debeaked and raised in crowded buildings with access to only barren, fenced yards.

  1.   The Pollo Real model uses less than 10% of  the water typically used  in factory farming and helps build soil as these birds are grazing and composting.

  2.   Free-range and natural birds raised in large factory farm buildings excessively waste "potable water" and pollute aquifers with runoff from waste piles.

  1.   Pollo Real chickens are moved daily over fields of  fresh greens, allowing New Mexico's fresh air and sunshine into the pens and eliminating any contamination with pathogens and parasites.

  2.   Free-range and natural chickens raised in large factory farm buildings allow for contamination with parasites and  pathogens with build up of fecal matter and poor ventilation.
